I rely on Eric R. Williams’ Screenwriters Taxonomy to classify movies and K.M. Weiland’s Creating Character Arcs: The Masterful Author’s Guide to Uniting Story Structure, Plot, and Character Development to analyze character arcs.


I usually begin by contextualizing and introducing the movie in question, then dive into a deeper analysis of themes, symbols, style, and other elements.
